Week 3 Web2.0

So far this week I have joined facebook, written a discussion thread on MLA Social Networking Software Task Force, added Pub Med and JSTOR applications to my profile, made some friends, joined a network, done a PubMed search through facebook. I did not join the other two social networks, linkedin and myspace. There is not enough time to do it all. But I have learned a lot from the exercises I have done so far.

Week 2 of MLA course

Week 2 I learned how to create a wiki. My wiki's url is http://webforbeginners.wetpaint.com

Week 1 of MLA course

This week I have learned how to create a blog, I have also customized a PubMed search and created an RSS feed which brings in content from specific journals I have specified. That was very useful information.

I also brought in an image to my blog. I learned to reduce a previous image which was too big. I simply clicked on the image and deleted that image and then added the same image, only smaller.

Just figured out how to reduce the
original image I posted. Select Edit Posts, click on the image and
delete it. Then select image icon and select 'small' image and the
image's location. Works something like a powerpoint image.
